About me
Hello everyone! I'm Lucy, and I'm just an simple emigrant. I moved to Frankfurt, Germany, from Tyumen in November 2018 and almost immediately started this channel. I'm really happy about it because you can trace my adaptation and integration here through the topics and texts. Through my posts, you can follow the whole journey from getting the first visa to the process of acquiring local citizenship. Here I write about various useful things, like how not to go broke on electricity bills and whether the much-praised German pension is really that high. I share funny observations, like about toilets and Google Maps. And I also tell interesting stories, like how Merkel became a lingerie model and why Pippi Longstocking got into trouble. If you're also an emigrant or just checking things out, welcome to my blog! Here you'll find life, work, and bureaucracy in Germany—no sugar-coating, but with life hacks and humor that helps when insurance can't. Stay, it'll be fun!
