I'm a simple emigrant and discovered a new kind of hiking
Hiking in Germany is generally a very popular pastime, and since my move I’ve taken up this activity. I love walking in the mountains and forests, enjoying the sounds of nature. And this time we found a route even more interesting – Schnapsbrunnenweg. Schnapsbrunnenweg is a kind of hiking where along the whole route there are several stops with drinks. We were walking this route and it has five such stations. Each station is a fountain of clean drinking natural water, in which there are bottles with different liqueurs, sometimes a couple of small snacks, and a piggy bank. There are no vendors or touts, only farmers occasionally refill the bottles. And you pick what to drink and drop coins in the piggy bank. Usually a shot costs 1-2 euros, while unlimited drinking water is free. For our group I bought everyone a shot on beads and pulled a handful of coins from my piggy bank – that was the right decision — I recommend you do the same. I think such an outing is best done on weekends. Then you can come, walk the route at a leisurely pace, enjoy the views. Just don't be fooled like me: the route goes through the Black Forest, but about half of it passes through fields and vineyards with absolutely no shade or coolness. In the evening we went to a restaurant, for example Faesslewirt, which was very tasty and the portions were simply gigantic, and then stayed overnight in a camper. We parked here. All prices are on the site; the parking is very well maintained with outlets and clean toilets, though there are no showers. And the next day we also swam a little in the lake in Baden-Baden. The lake is nice, but it feels like it's been neglected a bit. In photos it's prettier, but in reality the whole beach is overgrown with fairly tall weeds that would resist a blanket, there is no shade at all, very few parasols for rent and even fewer parking spaces. But the lake itself and the water are pleasant, and the entrance price is only € 3 for the day, so I can still recommend going there. Save this mini-trip plan for yourself and share in the comments your ideas for the weekend! #German_trips #useful
