I'm a simple emigrant and I am at the epicenter of the pandemic

To be honest, it sounds scarier than it actually is. All of Europe is in a panic, because while in Asia everything is going down, here everything is just beginning. From today, the majority of companies in Germany have switched to mandatory work-from-home. There is no quarantine as such, but clubs, bars, cafes and restaurants are already closing gradually on their own initiative. And it’s understandable—even those who aren’t panicking are trying to avoid mass events. For the same reason, hotels are having a hard time now, but they’re still operating normally. On store shelves they swept away everything that can be stored for a while: pasta, rice, any canned foods, frozen semi-finished products and flour (though I hadn’t noticed locals’ passion for baking). For unexplained reasons, all toilet paper and paper towels disappeared, and there are many videos online of people even fighting over it — I haven’t seen anything like that in real life yet. I think the reason for this, besides ordinary panic, is also fake rumors that supermarkets will operate two days a week for a couple of hours. Regional and international communication is gradually closing. Germany has already restricted access to people from a number of countries, but has not closed its borders yet. My friend who works for the German railways says that soon, most likely, most trains will be canceled. Public transport is still running as usual, but from the driver’s seat to the end of the first door the cabin is taped off to prevent passengers from getting too close. Official sources say that although the spread of the virus will happen anyway, there’s no need to panic, and for now everything is “within normal limits,” if one may put it that way 😅 And a few days ago there were also reports that in some German laboratory they reached a certain success in creating either a vaccine or a drug, and now Mr. Trump is trying to lure these scientists to the USA or buy the development. P.S. I am alive and well; among my friends, acquaintances and friends of friends there are no sick people. Let it stay that way. And stay healthy! #Ordnung
