I'm a simple emigrant and I don't go to demonstrations

And yet the residents of Frankfurt walk, and, indeed, quite often. According to local police data, the city where I live ranks first in the number of demonstrations per capita. If you look at the total number, Berlin has the most protests, but when you take into account the population, the capital drops to seventh place, and Frankfurt takes the first line: 23.3 demonstrations per 10,000 inhabitants. Here there are constantly protests of different scales: sometimes very few people, sometimes huge crowds. Any slightest decision, for example, the dismantling of benches that serve as homes for the homeless, triggers a sense of duty in the locals—to go and express their opinion. While walking along one of the main pedestrian streets, my boss said about a group of people in the distance: “Oh, these are just demonstrators, they’re again protesting against or in support of something.” Sometimes dissatisfaction is even expressed with what is already provided for in the laws, but in people’s view it is not enough. So it seems that the more freedom people have, the more they need it, what do you think? #frankfurt https://www.zeit.de/zeit-magazin/2019/12/demonstrationen-proteste-streik-deutschlandkarte
