Post: I don't go to demonstrations

I'm a simple emigrant and I don't go to demonstrations

And the residents of Frankfurt go out, and, moreover, quite often. According to local police, the city where I live ranks first in the number of demonstrations per capita. If we look at the total number, the most protests occur in Berlin, but if you take population into account, the capital drops to seventh place, and Frankfurt takes the first place: 23.3 demonstrations per 10,000 inhabitants. Here there are constantly protests of various scales: sometimes very few people, sometimes huge crowds. Any slightest decision, for example, the dismantling of benches that serve as homes for the homeless, triggers in locals a sense of duty—to go out and express their opinion. Once, while walking along one of the main pedestrian streets, my boss said about a group of people in the distance: “Oh, these are just demonstrators, they’re again protesting against or in support of something.” Sometimes discontent is also directed at things that are already enshrined in law, but in people’s view it’s not enough. It seems that the more freedom people have, the more they need it, what do you think? #frankfurt https://www.zeit.de/zeit-magazin/2019/12/demonstrationen-proteste-streik-deutschlandkarte
