I'm a simple emigrant, and I don't really pay attention to a healthy diet

Mostly because it's quite complicated, time-consuming and expensive. But local authorities came up with a solution for people like me. Therefore I am a fan of the product labeling system that was introduced in Germany in 2020: brands now voluntarily place a nutritional rating on the labels, or Nutri-Score. Nutri-Score is a color and letter scale for assessing products by the degree of their nutritional value. In essence, experts calculate the amount of empty calories and the amount of nutritious calories that offset them. The letter A on a green background marks products that are best suited for healthy eating. According to the surveyed residents of Germany, Nutri-Score turned out to be the most convenient and understandable system for promoting healthy eating, and I can say from my own experience that it works. Of course, this rating didn't make me give up any particular junk food, but when choosing a product in a given category, I now always prefer products with the letter A on the packaging. And what do you think about such a system? #useful
