Post: I rarely check prices at the supermarket

I'm a simple emigrant, but I rarely check prices at the supermarket

A couple of days ago I saw at the REWE supermarket (like the Pyaterochka network in Russia, but a bit more expensive) a new stand with portable price scanners. It’s a neat thing: you go into the store, grab a basket and one of those scanners, and you can do all your shopping and price checks completely on your own. There have long been several self-checkout tills installed in this store, which, aside from the problem that customers can choose fruits of a more expensive brand and have them scanned as cheap, work great. They also have a convenient app with free delivery from 50 euros. It seems the day is near when they will do away with workers entirely. Which do you prefer: a supermarket with live staff or when everything is automated? #frankfurt
