Post: I'm celebrating the New Year in Russia

I'm a simple emigrant and I'm celebrating the New Year in Russia

Probably, 2021 was not the easiest year: you can hardly find any New Year mood around. Everyone is wrapping up tasks and work, they don’t have time to buy gifts and alcohol for the holidays. In Tyumen, level-nine traffic jams have been going on for several days already, because the townspeople are rushing somewhere. New Year’s hustle in Russia, in general, is nicer than in Singapore, where people worry little about this holiday. And Christmas trees stand beautifully at everyone’s homes! For the residents of Tyumen Oblast, by the way, they made a gift: they canceled the bans on restaurants and bars to operate until 11 p.m. and allowed going without QR codes in most public places. All because more than 80% of residents have been vaccinated here — almost like in Singapore. I don’t know whether this “reward” will lift the mood of the locals, but it will surely help businesses. The next two days remain to sum up 2021 and plan, as much as possible, 2022. Wishing everyone that it will be tens of times better than the previous two! Happy upcoming 🎄
