I'm a simple emigrant, and in a new place I try to find friends as quickly as possible

When you come to study on an exchange program or some kind of summer school, everything is very simple. You immediately end up among the same kind of students; you don't even have to go out of your way to make friends. Relocating for work is harder. No, my colleagues are wonderful, but, as is typical in IT, they're almost all men, and married to boot. Therefore it's simply not possible to invite them to dance on Saturday. I discussed it with Masha, and it was decided to go to a club alone. So what? Sitting in my apartment, I definitely won't find a new circle of friends. And here I am dancing in a club, and I realize that only guys are eager to meet, while I need a girlfriend to go shopping and to museums. In short, this method didn't work; I'll look for others.
