I'm a simple emigrant, and to get to know people better, I think you simply need to drink with them
Especially when it comes to Germany and Germans. Seriously, one of the questions at the interview was about my attitude to alcohol, and in the photo there’s a storage room in the office. There is a proverb here "Kein Bier vor Vier!" or literally "no beer before four," and the standard workday lasts until six PM. Although, when I talk about alcohol as an integral part of local life, you have to understand that the drinking culture here is completely different, but I’ll save that for next time. And for now, it’s time to talk about the desire to plan everything and, by no means, not to change plans. Alles zu seiner Zeit - to everything its own time. If, on the way to the store, you were told about a fee that is planned for next month, it’s assumed that you’ve immediately put it in your calendar and they don’t intend to remind you about it. This also includes the awareness of living within the law: you don’t need many police officers watching over the enforcement of the rules. Everyone understands that it’s better not to do something than to do it and pay a huge fine. And I’m a simple emigrant living my ordinary life, and I surprise everyone with how, with good planning, I can constantly improvise. #emigrant_happiness #work
