I'm a simple emigrant and a virus stole Christmas this year

The government of the state of Hesse, where Frankfurt is located, gave all residents a gift: another total lockdown. You can't gather together; all common areas in my home are closed, door handles have been removed, and holes are sealed with tape; going outside after nine p.m. is prohibited. All Christmas markets, of course, are cancelled. At least they put up the main Christmas tree; it was magnificent, its photos spread in five minutes—check them out too. This fun will last at least until January 10, so there's no hope for the New Year either. Apparently this year all holidays will take place in the format of solitary movie-watching or small gatherings with neighbors.
