I'm a simple emigrant, and drugs are evil
But who cares about that, when during a walk longer than 15 minutes there is a 99% guarantee of smelling weed. Apparently the German government has already decided seriously: you can't win – take the lead! Therefore this Wednesday the Federal Government launched a plan for partial legalization of cannabis: consumption and cultivation of marijuana will be partially allowed for adults. The topic of legalization has been in the media’s sight for a long time, but a couple of years ago people started taking it seriously: I told about it on my channel as well. Now the law is already on the home stretch; only the final discussion and approval in the Bundestag remain. The Ministry of Health writes, that the full entry into force of the law will begin by the end of this year. What does all this mean in practice? First, if you can’t stand this smell and you’re planning to move to Frankfurt – I recommend buying a toilet spray with that scent and getting used to it, because that inexpressible combination of crap and weed is the calling card of our city’s aromas. Second, cannabis will be removed from the list of drugs altogether, which entails changes to a bunch of other laws. Additionally, from 18 years old you can possess up to 25 grams, consider it a half-year supply for a casual smoker. For gardeners and allotment keepers there’s also a perk: you can grow up to three plants. I happen to not have flowers on my balcony right now 😏 At the same time, open sale in official shops was halted for the initial period, but if anything, you can always create a “non-profit association” and, as one big Swedish family, grow and consume it yourselves. They say, that such clubs have lately been closing admissions because they can’t cope with the flood of applications after the news about the law. To be honest, even with legalization, the idea of joining a weed-smoking hobby club sounds a little crazy to me. And what do you think about legalization and smoking weed in a hobby club? #Ordnung
