I'm a simple emigrant and happy

But more and more I run into the opinion that Germany and, Frankfurt in particular, are very depressing. I can't agree with such an opinion, but I can understand it. Usually three cities are singled out: Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt. I don't know Munich very well, because my relationship with it is exclusively in the evening/nighttime. It just so happens that after several visits I still haven’t seen it in daylight at all. I’ll deal with the others in order. Berlin. A very bright city, there are many colors, a huge range of entertainment options for every taste. I would also not call it a dirty city, or a city where it’s hard to see prospects and grow — there are plenty of opportunities. But, in my opinion, there are plenty of reasons for depression. First, history: school knowledge, pieces of the Berlin Wall, monuments to the victims — all of this weighs on you. Second, the classic effect of big cities, where it seems everyone is in one big ant hill, but everyone is certainly more successful than you and their life is more interesting, and their dogs’ fur shines brighter, even though you don’t even have any. Well, and I would call it a city of freedom, and where there is freedom, there is a particularly sharp desire to think about everything in the world, which also often leads to depression. Frankfurt. And is it considered a reason for joy that you can easily leave from here to anywhere? I hope so. It’s pleasant to stroll here; everything is designed for cyclists and electric scooters are gaining momentum now. However, depression here can be caused by many things. For example, overall greyness. The architecture combined with weather, which is warm but not especially sunny, and often simply rainy, lends a special charm to the whole. Some districts here are really dirty, there are many beggars and simply strange wanderers. This city requires you to resist in order to stay cheerful all the time. But don’t worry, rejoice in the new opportunities of each day, and all this greyness will stay away from you. And what do you think, is the city you live in depressing or joyful? #German_trips
