I'm a simple emigrant and I am almost no longer afraid to pass by crowds of drug addicts

Europe — of course it’s good, but have you tried walking every day, practically touching the drug addicts? Every morning on the way to the office I enjoy a few things: the weather (not always), the architecture, and cleanliness. But as soon as I approach the main train station, next to which I work, all of this changes to something else: the smell of fresh piss and shit smeared across half the sidewalk, homeless people who are just waking up and rubbing their eyes, and addicts, loners and in groups. They are just starting their morning ritual. On the way from the office to the hall, you can meet cheerful transgender people. It’s not surprising, because just around the corner from my doors is a porn cinema. Then ordinary cafes where we go to have lunch, and then multi-story sex shops, strip bars, and other pleasures of this genre. A medical van also arrives here, handing out free clean syringes. And there it is, that glorious moment when it’s not “the main thing is that it’s free.” Somewhere nearby there is always the police; they keep order, sometimes they catch someone. But a person who only uses and does not deal narcotic substances, or at least does not get caught at it, has the same equal right to their “hobby” as those who like cross-stitch. Moral: if you’re here — don’t be surprised by the charming landscapes. Among this contingent there are people of different nationalities, sometimes you can hear Russian speech as well. By the way, I was afraid for a long time to take a photo to illustrate the full scale, and when I finally decided to — one of those fellows started chasing after me and said: “Don’t photograph!!” I don’t even know what language it was, but I understood everything 100%. #frankfurt #we_dont_like
