Post: I pay attention to whatever comes along

I'm a simple emigrant and I pay attention to whatever comes along

In Frankfurt I often came across small photographs of random people. They are pasted all over the city in the most unpredictable places and on every surface. There is no text, graffiti or captions next to them—absolutely nothing. And most often in them I saw one interesting young man in a cool sweater and with a seventh-grader's moustache. In the six months I've been here, I've tried to unravel the mysterious story of this guy: what did he do to deserve such mass printing and distribution? I thought maybe he needed help, or it was viral social advertising, or maybe all these people are famous, just not to me. And yesterday, finally, my new local acquaintance revealed the secret behind the popularity of the people in the photos, and that particular boy in particular. It turned out that this boy was running for the school president, and the photo was taken for campaigning. Then someone decided to pull a prank! And printed a thousand copies of that very photo and pasted it all over the city. Funny. I don't know if it's true or not, but that's the only explanation I got and, it seems, from someone who knows. So I can suppose that further this simply spread like a flash mob and that's why a bunch of photos of other random people appeared. Finally the mystery is solved and Nancy Drew can sleep soundly. How about you? Funny prank? Would you like to see your photo all over the city? Mine once hung up somewhere, though only in one place, but it was large. #frankfurt
