Post: I brought you more German films

I'm a simple emigrant, and I brought you more German films

This time I picked three films that I still want to watch. 🎬 Contra (2020). A contemporary German drama with elements of comedy about a university professor who becomes embroiled in a scandal after making a racist remark directed at Naima, a student of Arab descent. In an attempt to keep his job, he must help her prepare for a prestigious debate competition. Gradually, mutual respect and a human connection develop between them, despite all cultural and personal differences. 🎬 Groupies bleiben nicht zum Frühstück (2010). A romantic comedy about Lila—a smart and independent woman who has returned to Berlin after a year in the United States. She unexpectedly meets a charming guy named Chris and falls in love, not knowing that he is a superstar of a boy band. Against the backdrop of the glossy world of show business, they try to understand whether genuine feeling is possible when everything around is an illusion and fans. 🎬 Toni Erdmann (2016). An eccentric and moving drama about the unusual relationship between a father and daughter. Winfried, a retiree with a quirky sense of humor, decides to shake up his daughter Ines's life, a career-minded woman in the world of big business deals. He creates an imaginary character — Toni Erdmann — and unexpectedly appears in her professional environment to restore to her a sense of life, joy, and closeness. I've heard a lot of positive things only about the very first one; I saw the other two for the first time on the channel German Films and Series. There are many more similar recommendations there and even more foreign films translated into German. Have you watched any of these? I'll write the film titles in Russian in the comments. #madeinGermany #immigrants_are_friends
