I'm a simple emigrant and I don't particularly like hookahs
But still, as a newcomer to Germany, I find everything interesting. Curiosity in this direction was fueled by two things: what Masha was telling me that in Singapore it’s forbidden and that in Frankfurt there’s a huge influx of Turks. The guys are enterprising, so there are plenty of Turkish shops and hairdressers here. I thought for sure there would be no fewer hookah places. And I wasn’t mistaken. One of them, quite a good one indeed, is located in the building next to my home. There is a pleasant atmosphere, very good ventilation, polite bartenders, and good music. As soon as we entered, they asked for documents: smoking hookah here is allowed from 18 years old. Compared to hookah bars in Russia, they differ in that you won’t have your own lounge area, because the sofa is one big piece and everyone blends into one large table. There is no kitchen there, accordingly no food either, but there is a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and the selection is quite wide. Also here, to my regret, you can smoke regular cigarettes. But I don’t even know, is anyone really smoking hookah and cigarettes at the same time? 😅 For one hookah and two tasty lemonades we paid €20 — that’s normal. All in all, sitting there for an hour and a half is very pleasant. And do you like hookah? #frankfurt
