I'm a simple emigrant and I enjoy the conveniences of European cities

It's no secret that European cities are far better suited for encouraging people to walk or ride bicycles. Germany, of course, is no exception: according to data from the federal tourism association, the length of bike lanes here is 75,000 km, and there are about 72 million bicycles!!! By the way, the country's population is about 81.5 million. It turns out, almost one for each person. Not often, but a couple of times I have seen in the city such beautiful bicycles, completely painted white and neatly bolted to the curb. I thought it was all about encouraging people to switch from cars to bicycles, although for locals, it seems, motivation isn't needed anymore. In short, I walked around, admiring, until I learned that this is how they mark accident sites where a cyclist died. What a sad discovery. Therefore, even if you are a master at riding a bike, can ride without hands and pedal with one toe, please be careful on the roads. #frankfurt
