I'm a simple emigrant and I hardly fear walking past crowds of drug addicts anymore
Europe is, of course, nice, but have you tried walking every day, almost touching drug addicts? Every morning on the way to the office I enjoy a few things: the weather (not always), the architecture, and the cleanliness. But as soon as I approach the main train station, right next to which I work, all this changes to something else: the smell of fresh urine and feces smeared across half the sidewalk, homeless people who are just waking up and rubbing their eyes, and addicts, loners and in groups. They are just starting their morning ritual. On the way from the office to the hall, you can meet cheerful transgender people. And it’s not surprising, because almost right around the corner from my office doors is a porn cinema. Then ordinary cafés where we go to have lunch, and then multi-story sex shops, strip clubs and other pleasures of this genre. A medical van also comes here, handing out free clean syringes. And here comes that glorious moment when it’s not “the main thing is that it’s free.” Somewhere nearby there’s always the police; they keep order, sometimes catching someone. But a person who only uses and does not distribute narcotic substances, or at least doesn’t get caught, has the same right to his “hobby” as those who love cross-stitch. Moral: if you’re here — don’t be surprised by the lovely landscapes. Among this crowd are people of various nationalities, sometimes you can even hear Russian speech. By the way, I was afraid for a long time to take a photo to illustrate the scale, and when I finally decided to, one of those guys ran after me and said: “Don’t photograph!!” I don’t even know what language it was, but I understood it 100%. #frankfurt #we_dont_like
