I'm a simple emigrant and I have already forgotten what it's like to work in an office

Since March 2020 my company shifted to remote work, and to this day we still haven't been required to come to the office. Probably having remote workers and the possibility to always work partially from home helped the team not feel a big difference in productivity depending on where we work from. But recently we needed to meet in person to discuss an important issue. There's nothing we can do; we had to go to the office. First, half of the colleagues by that time had already managed to relocate and were getting there from wherever they could. Second, the day before they sent us a memo with a bunch of points. The main rules: take a quick test at the entrance, you can sit at your workstation without a mask, but to go pour yourself tea you must wear it, and, of course, keep a certain distance from each other. By the way, eating in our kitchen was also forbidden. There were also pros: very comfortable chairs and desks in our office, with adjustable height, you can work standing up if you get tired of sitting. After working on my own one and a half monitors, two large screens seem like a miracle. And in general it's nice to work with colleagues, in company, so to speak. But only one day; after that, back to remote work, happy to work in loose-fitting T-shirts. Do you prefer to work remotely or in the office? #work
