I'm a simple emigrant and I love destroying stereotypes

Of course, Europe isn't that far from Russia for there to be stereotypes about bears on the streets and vodka for breakfast. Yet they have their own view of Russians. For example, the most common and closest to the truth is that we don't smile at all. Well, try living in our conditions, I tell them, while I smile at everyone, always. The same goes for reserve, unfriendlyness, and the like. All Germans think that for us, especially Siberians, it should never be cold. The fact that there is enormous humidity here, and a wind that cuts you through every crack and seam—that's all unimportant. At +4 I have to wear a thick sweater, and at +15 I would be in a swimsuit. You should have seen the look on their faces as they ask an absolutely sincere question: what clothes do you even wear in your -30, and we giggle and go Google how to say "дубленка". And I'm a simple emigrant, wearing the local +10 in the same down jacket as in Tyumen's -20, and hardly feel the difference. #emigrant_happiness
