I'm a simple emigrant and I love festivals

Especially when it comes to wine. So we couldn't miss the start of the Bornheim Festival of Young Wine, which will run in Frankfurt until May 4. More than fifteen wineries are setting up their corners with different drinks on a street that is considered the city's longest shopping street. Of course, there are food stalls here as well, and a small stage where local artists and groups perform. The average price of a glass of 0.2 L is about €5.50. For a bottle — about €20. It's pricey, but comparable to prices in good restaurants or venues that specialize in wine. Here they don't use plasticware; everything is poured into the same branded glasses, for each of which you have to pay a €2.50 deposit. If you don't break it and return it, then the deposit is returned accordingly. When we arrived, the band was playing its last songs, but at the start near the stage there weren't that many people. In Germany at such events it is more common to crowd in the middle of the venue, to drink, eat, and talk loudly. A great way to spend time with friends, especially if the weather is fine. And we left to continue our party around 11 p.m., but it was still going on and the crowd hadn't thinned. #frankfurt #holidays
