I'm a simple emigrant and I love to bake
Once I used to bake something all the time, but my circle eats few sweets, and I don’t like finishing half a cake by myself. And one time we were asked to bring a dessert to a celebration; I was already planning what to make that would be tasty and easy to transport to another city, and a local friend said: “don’t worry, we’ll just buy instant pudding and make it in five minutes.” I was shocked, and a second wave of shock hit when at the celebration everyone happily enjoyed this pudding. So I started baking less often, but recently a colleague brought such a delicious traditional German Marble cake, that we all wanted to bake it. She shared the recipe with us, and with you. 🍌Ingredients: - Butter 250 g - Sugar 200 g - Salt a pinch - Eggs 4 - Flour 250 g - Baking powder 15 g - Milk 80 ml - Cocoa for baking 25 g - Butter for the pan and powdered sugar for decoration 🥳Method: Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection 160 °C). Beat the softened butter, sugar, vanillin and salt with a mixer until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs. Mix the flour with baking powder and add to the batter, then gradually pour in 50 ml of milk in small portions. Divide the batter in half: set one half aside, and to the other add cocoa and the remaining milk. Next grease a loaf pan or any pan you have. Pour the light batter, smooth, then the dark and smooth again. Now swirl with a fork through the batter all over in a spiral, so that it intertwines a little and a marble effect forms. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes. Let it cool for about 15 minutes and remove it from the pan. Dust with powdered sugar. Save the recipe so you don’t forget. Try it, you’ll surely succeed, and post photos of the cake in the comments. Bon appétit! #useful #food photo: kochschwabe
