Post: I love to travel

I'm a simple emigrant and I love to travel

Every time during a trip I take notes, photos, and other drafts for posts; it’s become a habit and happens automatically. And then I hardly ever post about trips. I don’t know why, but as much as I love riding, I’m just as lazy to tell about it afterward. Even to my girlfriends in voice messages. In general, I stopped hoping for a separate post about each place, but the sun is shining, the weather is inviting, holidays are ahead. So here is a collection about beautiful and cute towns you can visit from Frankfurt by public transport and S-Bahn trains in at least one day, or for a long weekend. Heidelberg – one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, with a legendary castle on a hillside and the country’s oldest university. A stroll along the old bridge over the Neckar with a view of the river and cozy streets will surely please you. Bad Nauheim – a spa town with thermal springs. We came there after work to stroll, and there Elvis Presley was on the bridge. It turns out he served there and, as befits a small town, a reminder of it is everywhere. Karlsruhe – one of the sunniest cities in Germany, very green. The city’s layout is such that all streets lead to the ducal palace. Great place for walks, visits to modern museums, and resting in nature. Rüdesheim am Rhein – one of the most romantic towns on the Rhine. Narrow lanes, wine taverns and a cable car to the Niederwald monument create a fairy-tale atmosphere. We took the Romantik Tour, highly recommended; you can take it with friends. Koblenz – picturesque city at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. Here you can stroll along the embankment, admire the Deutsches Eck, and ride a cable car to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress with panoramic views of the valley. Idstein – a small historic town with beautiful half-timbered houses and the Witch’s Tower. Ideal for a leisurely stroll and atmospheric coffee on the old square. I also love their flea markets, whether in summer or at Christmas. Limburg an der Lahn – Gothic cathedral, cobbled streets and houses of dark timber. The town seems to have stepped out of a medieval fairy tale. I really like that. Mainz – relatively large city with historic cathedrals, wine taverns, street festivals. One of the oldest cities in the country, here is the famous cathedral and the Gutenberg Museum – the inventor of the printing press. Wiesbaden – elegant spa town with hot springs and beautiful 19th-century architecture. Perfect for relaxed strolls. And if you crave action, you can visit the casino, just don’t lose all your savings there like Dostoevsky did. Eppstein – and a whole bunch of other small picturesque towns, bathed in the greenery of the Taunus. In Eppstein you can look at the castle ruins and, as usual: narrow lanes, old houses and beautiful trails for hiking – a summer combo for a short nature getaway. Write in the comments your options, or drop photos from these places or critique. In short, write something there; I’m curious to learn more about you! #top5 #frankfurt #German_trips
