Post: Electricity was cut off in Europe

I'm a simple emigrant, and electricity was cut off in Europe

In Portugal, Spain, and part of France, the electricity just went out like that. Not in one place, at the intersection of countries, but in three countries at once. Moreover, there is no official statement from the EU about the causes: the reasons are being clarified. I can already see how, in one united cry, the voices of everyone who didn't save the changes have intertwined. In Germany, everything is fine with us, we can keep scrolling through reels, but the situation is strange. The range of possible causes in official sources runs from a fire somewhere in France to a cyberattack. As you can imagine, neither option is very good. Of course I understand that we're talking about a collective Europe, but I didn't think there was ONE power switch for several countries somewhere. And by the way, Andorra and Belgium were also affected, tangentially. Overall it's unclear—are there really no emergency backup systems? That is, everyone knows there is this bottleneck and nothing has been done about it yet? I want to believe that something like this wouldn't happen to us. 🫣 And what do you think? Copyright AP Photo
