I'm a simple emigrant and I moved for work
Yes, besides entertainment and travel, work remains the main activity. And, since my company is an IT startup, part of a large corporation, we have both the positive and not-so-positive aspects of both types of organizations. For example, everything related to creating coziness in the office: tea, coffee, sweets, fruit, beer β we choose ourselves, what we like. The same with the supplies for work, laptop bags, docking stations and other little things. These don't have to be approved at all levels, and accordingly, from the moment of a "request" to the moment of receiving, very little time passes. But when it comes to more serious issues that require top-level approval, it can take an unreasonably long time. For example, organizing German courses took, without exaggeration, about six months. But when you mention that very name in response to the question about where you work, everyone immediately thinks you're a cool guy. But there is something that unites our organizations β parties. In the local company we gather after work about once a week, and when the parent company organizes a big party for everyone, they naturally invite us too, paying for tickets and accommodation in Munich, where they are based. And would you prefer to work in a startup or a big company? #work
