The Sydney Institute for Economics and Peace published a new Global Peace Index. This institute is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit analytical center; its main idea is the economic value of peace. In the 2021 rankings Singapore took 11th place, and Germany — 17th. This means that walking at night, interacting with the police, and going to bars is quite safe. For comparison, Russia is in the red zone, at 154th place out of 163, meaning that it is only 9 points away from the least peaceful place on earth — Afghanistan. A fairly weighty 'because' turns out—what do you think? #top5
