Post: I quickly get tired of the monotony

I'm a simple emigrant and I quickly get tired of the monotony

What I love about Europe is architecture. We can even set aside cultural heritage monuments, and there will still be a huge amount of beautiful buildings and narrow streets, harmonious structures. Indeed, from both past centuries and the present. But what I don't like about it is the monotony. Going on vacation, or living for a month or two is one thing, but every day the same landscapes become tiresome. What I already definitely love about Frankfurt is its diversity. This city combines glassy, tall business centers and classic, German, low-rise houses; here inconspicuous gray buildings fit in perfectly for offices or residential buildings with shops on the ground floor. All of this blends together beautifully. The cathedral, with its beautiful spire, peeks out from behind an ordinary building and vies for space in the sky with a tall office building. Local architecture proves: to be stylish, you don't need to paint each building in all the colors of the rainbow; to preserve history, there's no need to stop constructing buildings according to modern designs, and to keep up with the times you can do so without demolishing buildings that carry the culture and the spirit of the past. These sights never bore and at any moment, in any state, you can find a corner here that will match your inner feeling. #frankfurt #emigrant_happiness
