Post: I want to advise useful habits for life abroad

I'm a simple emigrant and I want to advise useful habits for life abroad

1. Before you do anything, go somewhere or buy some things, develop a habit of thoroughly searching for information on the Internet. Many topics are already described, and the most common problems can be avoided if you know about them in advance. 2. If you have been persistently looking for information but found nothing, and you think, 'well, how come, hasn’t anyone else run into this before?' — be sure to describe this case yourself. Any which way, anywhere, even if you don’t have a talent for writing, perhaps you will help the next beginners. 3. Save receipts whenever possible; they may be needed for a lot of things. At minimum, for returns or for a tax deduction at the end of the year. Of course, you don’t need to keep them for ten years; a year is enough, for electronics—the warranty period. 4. Use notes on your phone or in a notebook to develop knowledge of the local language. If you hear a word very often—write it down by ear, then ask those who know. If you find yourself in a situation where a particular phrase would be useful but you don’t know it—write it down, go home and see how to say it. If you see a poster or an interesting sign—write it down, take a photo; then you’ll already know. 5. If possible, walk on foot in any direction, discover interesting places and views. Beautiful courtyards and backstreets that aren’t on the tourist route. In a new place it’s always pleasant to get lost; the main thing is to make sure your phone is charged. Because returning home is also pleasant. These and many other habits helped me a lot in Frankfurt and Puerto Vallarta (Mexico); the main thing is not to wander too deep, or you’ll end up in a drug cartel’s lair. #emigrant_happiness #top5 #useful
