Post: I'll tell what's wrong with Schengen visas

I'm a simple emigrant and I'll tell what's wrong with Schengen visas

Perhaps you have seen it; there are now photos circulating on the Internet of a European visa as shown in the photo. It states that the person received a Schengen visa, while entry to all the countries in parentheses is prohibited. If you, like me, have wondered how this is even possible and whether it violates the very principle of the European Union and the Schengen Agreement – this post is for you. In this particular example, everything is very simple β€” the girl got a visa in a five-year passport, and the countries in parentheses recognize only biometric passports. But there are cases when something like this can happen to someone who holds a biometric passport. To figure it out, I called the European Commission directly β€” this is the EU's main executive body. There, judging by the reaction, they heard about such news from me for the first time. But they explained that some countries require consultations with them when reviewing applications. And if they are against it, the country of application can still issue the visa, but then it must impose territorial restrictions. In this case the visa will be valid only in some Schengen countries. These and other rules for issuing restricted visas have existed since Schengen was introduced; it's just that not many people knew about them. Just in case, I'll remind you that although Europe formally has no borders, I strongly do not recommend violating such a visa and entering by land, for example, from Italy to France. Have you had unusual situations when applying for any visa? #useful #Ordnung
