I'm a simple emigrant and advertising in general doesn't piss me off
Advertising on flyers in Germany is still alive and thriving. Restaurants, sports sections, supermarkets, and even religious organizations constantly stuff their leaflets into the mailbox. Overall, this doesn't bother me; before, I even deliberately read this junk mail to practice German, and sometimes you would come across good discounts. And those who find it annoying can put a 'do not mail' sticker — and the brochures will stop being stuffed. But there is one type of advertising that really annoys me. This is “pseudo-letters.” This is while Germans prefer physical mail for all important communications, and that you have to check the mail constantly. I'm still waiting for an invitation letter to submit originals for citizenship. I constantly open the box, see there a letter, and with hope read the information in the window. And there it's something like “To all lovers of the cookie cake and wooden clogs.” Seriously? On the one hand, it seems they have come up with something creative, but on the other hand, mimicking something important is underhanded. I'm sure such marketers have a separate cauldron in hell! And how do you feel about advertising in the mailbox? #we_dont_like
