I'm a simple emigrant and I'll tell you a little more about German service
Remember my internet saga? So: the next day, on Monday, it didn’t appear, and on Tuesday too. It only showed up on Wednesday, meaning the German internet provider took an entire week to fix such a fault. So those who voted against, you won. But that wasn't the end. In the building where I live, we pay decent money for housing that is quite small in size, but the amount seems fair when you count all the “perks.” For example, in Germany it’s common to rent out completely empty apartments, often even without a kitchen; the electricity bill is never included in the rent, nor is the internet. The latter is usually arranged by each resident themselves, by signing a contract in their own name. With us, however, all of this is included in the rent from the start: furniture, electricity, water, internet. Of course, everyone started to be upset, since everyone was working or studying from home. And so, just when we had forgotten about it, I accidentally learned that a letter offering compensation had arrived for my friend. And I didn’t receive one. I wrote about it in our group, and it turned out that almost no one received one. In short, to save money, the company quietly refunded 16 euros (that's how much, they say, a month of internet per room costs) only to those who wrote an email, and with my friend apparently there was simply a glitch, because he hadn’t written to anyone. One would think, why not compensate all residents on the list? But no, savings for the merchants come first, and for some reason they ignored complaints about poor service. How do you like such a situation? #money
