I'm a simple emigrant and I'll tell you about a legal divorce in Germany Part 2
After I wrote a letter about unauthorized withdrawal with no response and spent two hours arguing with customer support (or the full Part 1), I realized that the most they are willing to do is refund 60 euros. By the way, another little joke: at the very end I already asked them whether, of course, they would deactivate the account and cancel the subscription as well, to which they told me that they could not do that, only I could. That is, throughout our entire conversation about my claims and indignation they forgot to mention this small detail and, apparently, planned that I would continue living in ignorance, and next year they would charge again. But they picked the wrong target. I, not thinking for long, immediately contacted the European Consumer Centre in Germany and sent them a complaint. There I described the whole situation and attached a couple of screenshots. They answered very quickly, requested a few more things. In total I sent them: confirmation of my subscription and my sister's subscription, the booked ticket from which it all started, a screenshot that only calls are available (clearly not without a reason) and my letter unanswered, as well as confirmation of the 60-euro refund, which they had already managed to return. Then they took up my case, and they didnβt ask me about anything else. And two months later I received a notification that the remaining 60 euros had been credited by Opodo. Then I wrote to them myself and asked whether this was their doing and whether there were any further sanctions against this company. And they answered again immediately that yes, indeed, they had done it. In the end, all my demands were met and now the case can be closed. In addition they have already filed a complaint against the company with several authorities. Such a result fully satisfies me, unlike merely a reversed payment. The whole process is absolutely free and fast, and the organization on Google has a 5-star rating β in Germany that means a lot. So I recommend everyone to seek their help! #useful #money
