I'm a simple emigrant and I'm just starting my working year

In Germany, the working year generally begins on January 2nd; usually, I too went back to work on that day, while Russian friends were still waking up from celebrating the New Year. But this year I finally gave myself New Year holidays, like in the old days, for a full two weeks. Although this channel isn't my "work", it just happened that I'm publishing the first post of this year only now. And I want to tell you a couple of updates right away. First, as you may have noticed, the channel is getting more and more German, and posts about Singapore will probably no longer appear. We're all fine, the authors; it's just that the inspiration has run dry. Secondly, I’ve long wanted to launch a "Guest Column", but I wanted to first prepare all the posts, and then release them. Now I’ve changed my mind and decided to make it more of an open mic. If you’re in Germany and/or you have stories related to Germany or the German language, write to me; we’ll shape it together and share with the world. But don’t worry – I’ll publish at most one such post per month, and if there isn’t an interesting story, that’s okay too; I won’t go looking for anyone on purpose. And also, I deliberately don’t have navigation on the channel, because we haven’t sold anything and we just need to read everything in one go. There are plenty of useful posts as well, and many of them haven’t lost their relevance, so I simply recommend using the search, and enjoying our early posts.
