I'm a simple emigrant, but only when it comes to matters relating to food
My friends from America to Japan and from Kaliningrad to Sakhalin know what a picky eater I am when it comes to food. Therefore it was very hard for me in Asia. How glad I am that in Europe it's much easier with this. In Frankfurt you can find a cafe/restaurant for any taste. Mexican, Asian, European, Balkan, Eastern — please! Just step out of the office, go in any direction and you’ll come to a place where you can eat well and pay 5–10 € for it. My colleagues and I do just that, and I don’t choose the place, because I know: I will find something to eat anywhere. And if suddenly dishes from the main menu don’t grab me, then I literally tell at the cashier what I’d like, a list of ingredients, so to speak. And you know, they’ve never refused me even once! And local cuisine is schnitzel (steak) and spaetzle (like noodles but made on a grater). Apparently, that’s a favorite combination of sounds. Well, and all kinds of sausages (and wursts), of course. #food
