I'm a simple emigrant and the topic of food is one of my favorites
But unlike the petty fussiness for no reason, which I have, there are also people who adhere to a specific eating style for objective reasons. For example, vegetarianism or veganism, the desire to eat less sugar or flour, but at the same time not to refuse pastries and ice cream. I, as a person far from this, don't even know which ingredients should or should not be for each of the "types" of food. But in Germany it's much easier with this. First, the huge variety of everything: products in the store, vegan cafés, or options in ordinary restaurants. Second, labeling removes the need to Google a list of "forbidden" ingredients and go comparing the composition of each product, because on every package there is a special symbol marking to which group of goods it belongs. And these icons are decoded on the price tags or on nearby slips of paper. Third, as strange as it may seem, it's simply a state of mind: hearing about your food preferences, no one starts rolling their eyes, telling you how useless what you're doing is and pulling you to their side. In my view, all these moments are equally important. Do you have any special eating habits? #food
