a simple emigrant and she got her first sunburn in her life

I had to spend six months at a Mexican resort to get a sunburn in Frankfurt. Like in many places around the world, we've been experiencing an abnormal heat of around 40°C for several days. Even at 8–9 p.m., the temperature reaches +38°C, and the hot air leaves little hope for a cool breeze. Inside, it's even worse. In office buildings there are air conditioners, but in my office they are, for example, the kind that always make me cold. And at home it's harder, because you can usually only use fans. Air conditioners here aren't really common. First, because there wasn't such a need for them before. Second, the devices themselves and their installation costs, add to that electricity charges, and air conditioners are already becoming a luxury. But the main thing is that their installation isn't always legal. In apartment buildings, apartment owners treat not only their own dwellings but the building as a whole with care. And the facade of the building is common property, so neighbors simply forbid in most cases the installation of both traditional and portable air conditioners. So, even if you're the owner of your apartment, you can't do anything about it—a paradox! Furthermore, it's believed that this way of cooling down has the most negative impact on the environment and dries out the already dry outdoor air. And how do you cope with the heat at home and outside? #frankfurt
