I'm a simple emigrant and I bought a laptop

I decided to update my parents' laptop. The last time I used their laptop I had a mini-stroke from how badly it worked and the feeling that there were more viruses there than bacteria on the handrail in the subway. And to load a tab in the browser so that you could open it, go on vacation, come back, wait another five seconds, and finally the tab would load. I go to the store, find the laptop I had already chosen in advance, it has a sticker: “we updated and calibrated everything for you, with an additional 39.99 euros.” I tell the consultant, what is this nonsense? First, for whom did you calibrate everything individually? Clearly not for my mom. Second, updates, even if you want them, won’t slip by. And most importantly: why did you even touch my new laptop, maybe while calibrating you were laying out solitaire for three weeks. And as for the fact that I could do this myself, I won’t even mention it. The consultant says, sorry, but we only have laptops like that. Had to go to another branch. I find a laptop there, and there is the same sticker, only the price is now 69.99 euros, I joked that here they also adjusted the screen brightness. In short, I talked with the consultants again. In the end they found an untouched laptop for me in the back room. By the way, in both branches the consultants were nice; all our communication was playful, no arguing. At home I checked on the site what exactly is included in this service for 70 euros: — individual measurement and adjustment using special software, — contrast adjustment, — color accuracy adjustment, — brightness adjustment, — initial system updates. What do you think? My joke turned out to be true. Now brightness adjustment is my favorite item. The moral of this tale is this – when you see this sticker, don’t rush to be upset. Better ask for a laptop without the imposed service. If you’re worried that the store knows better, just ask what exactly is included there.
