I'm a simple emigrant and I want to recommend useful habits for living abroad
1. Before you do anything, go somewhere or buy something, develop the habit of thoroughly searching for information on the Internet. Many topics are already described, and the most common problems can be avoided if you know about them in advance. 2. If you have persistently searched for information but found nothing, and you think "well, how is that possible, hasn't anyone else run into this before me?" be sure to describe this case yourself. Any which way, anywhere, even if you lack the talent of a writer, perhaps you will help the next beginners. 3. Save receipts whenever possible; they can be needed for a lot of things. At minimum, for returns or for a tax deduction at the end of the year. Of course, you don’t need to keep them for ten years—one year is enough, for equipment—the warranty period. 4. Use notes on your phone or in a notebook to develop knowledge of the local language. If you hear a word very often, write it down by ear, then ask someone who knows. If you find yourself in a situation where a specific phrase would come in handy but you don’t know it, write it down and look up how to say it at home. If you see a poster or an interesting sign, write it down, take a photo, then you’ll already know. 5. Whenever possible, walk on foot in any direction, and discover interesting places and views. Beautiful courtyards and backstreets that are not part of the tourist route. In a new place, it’s always nice to get a bit lost; the main thing is to make sure your phone is charged. Because coming back home is also pleasant. These and many other habits helped me a lot in Frankfurt and in Puerto Vallarta (Mexico); the main thing is not to wander too far, or you might end up in the lair of a drug cartel. #emigrant_happiness #top5 #useful
