I'm a simple emigrant, and monotony tires me quickly

What I love about Europe is the architecture. We can even bracket off monuments of cultural heritage, and there would still be a huge number of beautiful buildings and alleys, harmonious structures. Moreover, both from past centuries and from modern times. But what I don’t love about it is the monotony. Coming on vacation, or living there for a month or two, is one thing, but every day the same landscapes become tiresome. What I definitely love about Frankfurt is its diversity. This city combines glassy, tall business centers and classical, German, low-rise houses; here unobtrusive gray buildings fit in perfectly, for offices or residential buildings with shops on the first floor. All of this blends together beautifully. The cathedral, with its beautiful spire, peeks out from behind the most ordinary building and contends for the right to own the sky with a tall office building. Local architecture proves: to be stylish, you don’t have to paint every building in all the colors of the rainbow, and to preserve history there’s no need to stop constructing buildings according to modern designs, but to keep up with the times you can do so without demolishing buildings that hold the culture and spirit of the past. These sights don’t tire, and at any moment, in any condition, you can find a corner here that will match your inner feeling. #frankfurt #emigrant_happiness
