I'm a simple emigrant, and I'm fed up with having to get visas
This eternal question gets in the way of both taking off on a spontaneous trip and planning ahead. It was especially difficult when I lived in Tyumen: for almost any visa you had to travel, at best, to Yekaterinburg, and sometimes even to Moscow. As a result, besides visa and consular fees, you also have to budget for the trip, and for some people even for accommodation. Unfortunately, with a Russian passport a visa is required in many places, but the German one is one of the strongest in the world: it gives access to 188 countries. But I’m not yet a German passport holder. Moreover, right now I’m more interested in the possibility of my relatives obtaining a visa so they can come to me. And recently, at the German-Russian Forum, Germany again raised the issue of visa-free entry for Russians under 25. Of course, not all of my friends fit this rule, but still. However the problem is that Germany is part of the Schengen Agreement, and by offering visa-free entry into their country, they also open doors to all Schengen countries. Therefore I don’t know how feasible this is in reality, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed. What do you think, would this be a great opportunity for young people to see the world, or would they suck the talented youth away like a vacuum? #useful
