I'm a simple emigrant and I know why marijuana was legalized
Remember, I wrote, that several laws were passed, including permission to have two passports and the legalization of marijuana? Here's all these speculations about the goals β it's all nonsense. The real reason is that in Germany a lot of things happen so slowly that it's impossible to bear it with a clear head. And weed slows perception a bit, and you're already on the same wavelength as German life. Have you heard about the German autobahns? They are famous worldwide for the absence of a speed limit. That's where all of Germany's speed has gone. I often say that Germany teaches humility, and I even wondered whether it would break me. And I firmly declare: NO. I'm still not ready to pay inexplicably for who knows what, I'm still pursuing justice, and I still sometimes tremble at how slowly cashiers move, how long you have to wait to get a doctor's appointment, how in fast food during a shift there are one and a half people β they take orders, assemble burgers themselves, and go to the pickup. Ray Kroc would roll over in his grave if he saw how McDonald's operates here. There should be a golden mean in everything. Sundays without shopping or a balance between work and life β great. I don't need everyone to work 24/7, but during working hours I'd like to see both quality and at least a bit of speed. Otherwise it's too hard to believe that a measured life in Germany is a conscious choice, and not just plain laziness. #emigrant_happiness
